We have thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday today and all the incredible things he has done for our planet. We wrote some lovely letters to him telling him how much we have loved his films (we watched a few clips today) and all about our favourite animals.
It was fantastic to go to the field this afternoon. We were mini-David Attenborough’s, and enjoyed completing a nature hunt, where we had to find a daisy, cow parsley, an orange tip butterfly, to name a few. The children were great at spotting most of the things, but one of the high lights was rolling down the grass hill together!
On Wednesday we used our observational skills and various drawing methods to draw the twigs that we will be transforming next week in Art. Brilliant focus and concentration Year 2!
