We took part in a tour of the Houses of Parliament and, although some parts of the building were restricted, we had front-row seats for the Procession—it was incredibly exciting! We also visited the House of Commons Chamber, where we learned how debates are ordered and the types of topics discussed.
Afterward, we met with Daisy Cooper MP for a Q&A session. We discussed the daily life of an MP and the important issues she has been voting on recently. Our School Council shared the work they’ve done to improve our school this year and the responsibilities they’ve held.
The Council members were fabulous throughout the trip and should be very proud of themselves!
