The highlight of this week has been the Year 4 Sports Festival at Loreto College on Wednesday. We had a fantastic time working together in teams on activities playing Tri-Golf and Rapid-Fire Cricket. The children were practicing skills in putting, and driving the ball in golf, aiming to hit certain targets or reach certain distances to score points.
In cricket, we were playing against each other, practicing batting using a tee and fielding skills, earning points for hitting the ball outside of the zone as well as scoring runs. If the fielders were quick, it would stop the other team from scoring so many runs. It was also lovely to be in mixed teams across the year group instead of just within our usual classes. It was a really fun afternoon and everyone participated brilliantly.
