The highlight of the week has got to be the opening of our class coffee shop. The children have thoroughly enjoyed role playing, ordering drinks, writing receipts, counting out money and making items to sell. What a fantastic way to learn about money!
This week we have completed our non-chronological report about the rare creature we created. We have thought about why we need sub-headings in non-fiction writing and have structured our writing really well.
On Wednesday, we really enjoyed a creative afternoon of drawing. The children were so focused and enjoyed using different methods of drawing. Our focus this term is on ‘Music and Art’ and we drew in time to different rhythms and music.
Spellings – Each week your child has a list of spellings to learn. They are words we have learnt during the week and are familiar to the children. Please spend time learning the spellings with your child (the list is in the homework book and on Google Classroom). Every Friday we have a spelling quiz and the children need to show that they have learnt the words at home. Thank you for your support.
