Can you find the dragon?

Welcome back to Spring 2!  This term will fly by and hopefully we can begin to start enjoying longer days and some sunshine.  We are looking forward to our trip to the Cathedral next week and the Year 2 sharing assemblies too.

This week we told the children about some very interesting sightings around the school over half term.  Shiny, blue dragon’s tails were spotted in different areas.  This unusual situation will inspire our writing over the next couple of weeks, starting today with the writing of a letter to Mrs Stray to let her know about what has been witnessed!

In Geography and History we are finding out about Mary Anning and Lyme Regis.  We really enjoyed looking at a map of Lyme Regis and finding all the key landmarks and attractions.  We also  created some fantastic leaflets and posters all about Lyme Regis.

Next Thursday is World Book Day and we are planning lots of fun reading activities.  Look forward to seeing you dressed up as your favourite book character or wearing your cosy clothes.

Remember to read lots at home, learn your spellings and do your homework in your purple book.  Also, Crimson class have their assembly next week, so check to see if you have any lines to learn.  Scarlet will have their turn next week.

Have a lovely weekend.
