Happy Easter!

We have had such a fun and busy week!

It started off learning all about Easter. We were very lucky to have Mrs Woods from Year 2 Crimson Class, tell us all about how Christians celebrate Easter and she answered all the questions we had about the Church too. Following this, we made chocolate nests. The children told us it was very yummy!

In Phonics, we have continued to review Phase 2 and 3 sounds, including writing words and short sentences.

On Thursday, we went on a trip to Hertfordshire Zoo.  We had a Lion Mini Meet, where a zoo keeper told us all about Big Cats as well as a workshop called Jurassic Safari where we learnt all about the features of animals and how they link to Dinosaurs. We saw so many different animals and went around the dinosaur trail. We had the best time! All the children should be very proud of how well they listened all day!

On Friday, we had a special visitor. William’s Grandpa told us all about how people make rockets. We watched some really interesting videos which included a rocket launch!

Things to remember:

  • The children return on Tuesday 14th April.
  • Please make sure that when PE Kits come back to school, that they are clearly named. This is the same for any uniform your child is wearing. Thank you for your support with this.
  • Bring in reading books and reading records every day. We read with the children most weeks and like to keep you updated with their progress.

We hope you have a wonderful Easter break and we look forward to the last term of fun!
