We have had a very busy last week of this half term.
On Wednesday we had a pottery workshop. A professional artist came in and began our day by leading an assembly about the different techniques she uses to create her pots. She then showed us some of her creations she had made. Then in our classes we made our own clay pot and made them look like faces. They are going to be taken away and fired in her kiln and we will be able to take them home.
On Friday we had our sports day. All the children participated really well and showed really good sportsmanship. Vermillion came second and Amber class won!
This week, in class, we have continued understanding time. We are learning to accurately tell the time and convert analogue into digital time. In English we have finished the Dream Giver and have been editing and publishing our work so we can show the rest of the school it on our class display.
In science we have finished forces and magnets and have created posters explaining everything we have learnt over the last half term. In computing we have been creating stop motion animations. We created moving animals in our DT lessons and put them into a scene using the chromebooks and ipads.
We have sent PE kits home with the children, please could they be brought back in on the first day washed. There is no spelling set this week.
We hope you have a lovely half term. We are very excited for the last half term of the year!
From the Year 3 team.
